Congratulations to Marius Cramer from Umeå Institute of Design in Sweden, who received the prestigious Ian Cartabiano Design Award for his beautifully executed cargo bike proposal, enabling efficient last-mile, point-to-point delivery.”
5. Evaluation and Awards
A panel of professionals specializing in design and innovation within Toyota will evaluate all submissions and determine the finalists. Winners in each category will receive a cash prize. The winning and finalist designs will be showcased during Milano Design Week and at the 2024 Paris Olympic-Paralympic Event.

The Toyota Logistic Design Competition has a successful history of welcoming students from universities in the United States. In 2022, Jacob Abraham from the University of Houston received the Gold Award for his innovative delivery module, Oro. Nicholas Orie from California State University was honored with the Bronze Award for his modular, autonomous drone fleet, Toyota Mitsubachi. These designs revolutionize final-mile delivery and streamline handling and organizing goods.
