Lombard, IL – The Council of Supply Chain Management Professionals (CSCMP) announces Holcim’s presentation “Crisis as Innovation Catalyst” – presented by Darren Oosthuizen, Senior Manager Transport Optimization – Corporate Logistics, Siddharth Pandey, Head – Transport Analytics Center (TAC) and Alexander Scheld, Global Head of Logistics – as the winner of the 2022 Supply Chain Innovation AwardTM (SCIA) at CSCMP’s EDGE 2022.
This presentation explained how the pandemic increased uncertainty in supply chain & demand and data dependency to make decisions. In pre-covid times, experience driven decision was preferred over data driven analytics. This session explored the digital transformation journey of Holcim’s Transport Analytics Center. During the session, presenters discussed how data driven analytics can help an organization to increase road safety, boost efficiency, reduce carbon emissions and leverage new opportunities.
CSCMP’s Supply Chain Innovation Award™ (SCIA) is a competition that recognizes teams who have demonstrated excellence, innovation, and return on investment for a significant supply chain challenge. For nearly 20 years, supply chain teams worldwide have been submitting their cases to the SCIA for the opportunity to receive recognition and accolades by their industry peers on a global stage.
For 2022, we received over 30 case study submissions from which the Committee – which includes the editorial board of SupplyChainBrain – narrowed it down to six finalists. The 2022 finalists presented their case studies virtually to the SCIA Evaluation Committee prior to the conference. The same presentation was delivered at EDGE to a live audience. This year, in addition to the winners, the top five submissions were:
