Outdoor electric forklift models offer emissions-free electric performance and outdoor capability.
Greene, New York – The materials handling innovator, The Raymond Corporation, has announced the launch of two products created to offer superior performance and address the increasing demand for sustainable material handling solutions: the 4800 and 4810 80-volt sit-down counterbalanced trucks. These innovative additions to the pneumatic series can handle capacities ranging from 4,000 to 11,000 pounds.
“These machines are specifically crafted for outdoor use,” stated Tim Rice, product manager, The Raymond Corporation. “Their suitability extends to lumberyards, large retail stores, and construction material suppliers, in addition to container yards, agricultural or commodity applications — they cater to any customer seeking an emissions-free, low-maintenance all-electric lift truck without sacrificing performance, indoor/outdoor versatility, and operational ease.”
Raymond’s outdoor electric forklifts feature Raymond Performance Stability System™
The 4800 and 4810 models are equipped with the distinctive Raymond Performance Stability System™, a feature designed to enhance vehicle control, thereby minimizing potential damage to goods and facilities. Each model boasts an operator station ergonomically designed with a fully adjustable, full-suspension seat with an integrated armrest and fingertip hydraulic controls that come with a factory side shift.
A selection of fully or partially enclosed cabins is available to ensure maximum operator comfort, along with strategically located controls — including a power select function to fine-tune power output based on the application. Customization, including forklift attachments, is available to maximize machine utilization. The open-view mast at the front significantly enhances visibility, leading to increased operator comfort and confidence.
Besides their unparalleled emissions-free functionality, the 4800 and 4810 models also enable owners to manage operating expenses and optimize uptime with features like low-maintenance wet disc brakes and powerful rechargeable batteries that need no spark plugs, tune-ups, or scheduled oil changes. Both models have an energy regeneration system that enhances run-time by replenishing the battery during plugging, coasting, and braking. “Across the industries we serve, we notice a burgeoning interest in sustainability,” noted Rice.
“A growing number of users are transitioning from conventional lift trucks to electric trucks. For any user contemplating transitioning to an all-electric fleet, the 4800 and 4810 models are ideal. These machines are fully competent for indoor/outdoor use and are packed with features that not only contribute to sustainability goals but also help optimize overall performance through integration with iWAREHOUSE and other Raymond telematics solutions.”
