At ProMat 2025 in Chicago, ELOKON introduced a major advancement in forklift safety and productivity: ELOfusion, a unified system that combines proximity detection and fleet management into one streamlined solution. With the manual forklift market expected to grow significantly in the coming years, the launch drew strong interest from attendees across warehousing, distribution, and manufacturing sectors.
The new system merges ELOKON’s well-established ELOshield ultra-wideband (UWB) proximity detection technology with its ELOfleet fleet management platform. By integrating collision avoidance, automatic speed control, and real-time fleet analytics, ELOfusion aims to reduce workplace incidents while simplifying management of forklift fleets.

ELOKON’s ELOfusion system was designed to offer a cohesive safety and management experience. On the safety front, it enables precise real-time collision avoidance using UWB radio waves to detect people and objects—even through obstacles like racks or walls. This makes it well-suited for complex warehouse environments filled with shelving and equipment.
In addition to collision prevention, the system supports automatic speed reduction in high-risk areas such as doorways or confined zones. Fleet managers can also leverage a comprehensive suite of tools, including RFID-based operator access control, electronic safety checklists, impact detection sensors, battery health monitoring, and preventive maintenance scheduling.
From an operational perspective, ELOfusion’s integration with the ELOfleet.com platform allows centralized data analysis across sites. This enables businesses to identify process inefficiencies, monitor vehicle usage, and generate performance insights fleet-wide.
Innovation Showcase and Education at ProMat
ProMat attendees at booth #S3588 also saw a preview of ELOKON’s AI-driven developments. These included ELOvision, a camera-based environmental warning system, and ELOshieldAI, which fuses UWB detection with computer vision to create layered safety protection. These technologies offer alternatives to infrastructure-heavy systems and further ELOKON’s move toward “sensor data fusion.”
