New electronic features, expanded customization options, and additional operator comfort upgrades highlight the latest generation of Cat compact counterbalance forklifts.

Cat® Lift Trucks has introduced updated versions of its compact diesel and LPG counterbalance forklift ranges, adding new electronic capabilities, expanded operator options, and additional comfort features designed to improve productivity and fleet management.
The new GP15-35(C)P LPG models and DP20-35P3 diesel models build on Cat’s established compact forklift platform, which is widely used in manufacturing, warehousing, distribution, and outdoor industrial applications. The updated ranges retain the durability, traction, and performance characteristics that have made the trucks popular while introducing new technologies aimed at reducing downtime and simplifying maintenance.
Bluetooth Connectivity Supports Service and Access Control
Among the most significant enhancements is the addition of Bluetooth connectivity through the trucks’ color LCD display. The feature enables wireless communication with the Cat TruckTool app, helping technicians access service information more efficiently and streamline maintenance procedures.
The Bluetooth functionality also supports smartphone-based driver identification. This touchless access capability allows operations to restrict truck use to authorized personnel while simplifying driver login procedures.

The display provides operators and fleet managers with real-time information on truck status and maintenance requirements. Service intervals can be monitored more effectively, while fault alerts help identify potential issues before they develop into costly repairs. For LPG-powered units, Cat now offers an optional low-fuel warning system designed to reduce the risk of unexpected fuel runouts.
A key component behind the trucks’ operating efficiency is the vehicle control module (VCM), which manages numerous truck and operator functions while supporting diagnostics and troubleshooting. The updated models now include a programmable speed limiter as standard equipment, enabling businesses to establish speed settings that align with site-specific safety requirements.
Expanded Options Allow Closer Application Matching
The updated ranges include four diesel models and seven LPG models, offering customers a variety of load capacities, frame configurations, and engine sizes.
Cat has also expanded the available options to allow closer alignment between truck specifications and operating requirements. Hydraulic control choices now include traditional manual levers, fingertip controls, dual joysticks, and a newly available single manual hydraulic control lever.
Operator comfort has also received attention. New air-suspension seat options are available in either cloth or vinyl finishes, providing additional support for operators during long shifts.
For facilities where operators face exposure to outdoor conditions, Cat has broadened its weather-protection offerings. A new acrylic rain guard option joins the existing panel and deluxe cab configurations, giving customers additional flexibility when selecting equipment for indoor-outdoor operations.
The latest upgrades reflect growing demand for connected equipment, enhanced operator ergonomics, and application-specific customization. By combining new electronic capabilities with a broader range of configuration options, Cat Lift Trucks aims to help customers improve fleet efficiency while maintaining the durability and performance expected from its compact counterbalance forklift range.
