Today’s National Day for Truth and Reconciliation briefing is deliberately short. A Vancouver-based company is advancing a significant manufacturing expansion in the U.S. Southwest, while our Worth Reading selection looks at another automation option entering the Canadian warehouse market. We also found two fresh B.C. operations-management opportunities.

WESTERN SUPPLY CHAIN WATCH | MANUFACTURING | Vancouver-Based BMR Plans Major Manufacturing Expansion
Vancouver-based Battery Mineral Resources says its ESI Energy Services subsidiary is advancing plans for a new manufacturing facility in Phoenix, Arizona that would approximately triple ESI’s current manufacturing footprint.
The company said September 29 that it is finalizing arrangements for the proposed facility. Subject to completion of the lease and related arrangements, equipment installation and relocation are expected to begin in December, with the operation targeted to be fully up and running in early Q2 2027.
ESI designs and manufactures specialized equipment serving renewable and conventional energy markets. Battery Mineral Resources says the larger plant would provide additional manufacturing capacity, improved production flow and more room for its expanding equipment portfolio.
